SIX THINGS

1. VJM (10-3 overall, 5-1 Athletic Association of Catholic Academies) has won six of its last seven. VJM's only losses have been to Conwell-Egan, Mount St. Joseph and unbeaten Great Valley.

2. Senior forward Sarah Kazarnowicz had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Jems. She's averaging 11.0 points a game and has scored in double figures in seven of the last 11 games.

3. Junior point guard Melissa Van Wert had 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists for VJM. She hit three important 3-pointers in the second and third quarters.

4. Seven different VJM players have scored in double figures in the last seven games alone. The Jems have a lot of scoring and a bunch of players who can handle the ball. Kazarnowicz, senior forward Jennie Heston and sophomore forward Carolyn Heston handle the ball really well. Carolyn Heston brought the ball up the court several times against pressure.

5. Senior Lindsay Teuber scored 26 points for St. Basil. With three minutes left in the game, Teuber had 24 of St. Basil's 33 points and nine of 11 field goals.

6. VJM trails only Mount St. Joseph in the AACA. Although Mount is the favorite in the league, VJM, Nazareth, Villa Maria and St. Basil will probably battle for second place.
