Southeastern Pa. Top 20

Through Jan. 17

1. Cardinal O’Hara (11-0): Has beaten GA twice and Carroll once.

2. Archbishop Carroll (10-4): Three out-of-state losses, plus one to O’Hara.

3. Archbishop Wood (12-1): Only loss was in Ohio to Lakota West, USA Today’s No. 21 team in the country. Will get its chance vs. O’Hara and Carroll.

4. Germantown Academy (12-5): Very talented squad.

5. Methacton (19-0): Perfect, so far. Hasn’t played the region’s toughest schedule.

6. Mount St. Joseph (15-1): Top ranked Class AAA team in the state.

7. Downingtown East (15-1): Will be tough to beat in District One Class AAAA tournament.

8. Conestoga (14-1): Not the toughest schedule, so far. Still has a lot to prove.

9. Upper Dublin (15-3): Having a terrific season.

10. Villa Maria (10-2): Once again a contender in AACA and D1 Class AAA.

11. Spring-Ford (18-1): Eighteen of 19 speaks for itself.

12. Council Rock-North (12-4): Seven straight wins for a relatively young team.

13. CB East (9-6): One of the hottest teams around.

14. CB South (15-3): Needs a few more quality wins.

15. Engineering and Science (11-1): Big game vs. Wood on Saturday.

16. Great Valley (17-0): No losses. But a lot to prove.

17. Conwell-Egan (12-4): Losses to GA and Wood.

18. Villa Joseph Marie (11-6): Could make AACA playoffs.

19. Abington (15-3): Great record.

20. Cheltenham (9-8): Better than record.

Others deserving consideration: William Tennent (12-5), Norristown (12-5), Springfield-Delco (12-5), Archbishop Ryan (10-5), Nazareth Academy (10-6), Bensalem (11-6), Notre Dame (13-3), Wissahickon (12-6), Perkiomen Valley (15-4), Sun Valley (13-3).
