Southeastern Pennsylvania Top 20

Through Dec. 23

1. Archbishop Carroll (4-3): Three losses to out-of-state nationally ranked teams shouldn’t count against Carroll too much.

2. Archbishop Wood (6-0): Talented team playing well together.

3. Cardinal O’Hara (5-0): Big win over Mount St. Joseph.

4. Conestoga (6-0): Could be the year in D1.

5. Methacton (11-0): Looks like the class of the SOL.

6. Mount St. Joseph (7-1): Disappointing loss to O’Hara.

7. Downingtown East (7-1): Always a D1 contender.

8. Germantown Academy (5-3): Close loss to Wood. Not-so-close loss to O’Hara.

9. Upper Dublin (9-1): Very nice start.

10. Villa Maria (3-1): OT win at St. Basil.

11. St. Basil (4-2): OT loss to Villa Maria.

12. Archbishop Ryan (5-4): Always tough in PCL North.

13. Spring-Ford (9-1): Defending district runner-up.

14. Villa Joseph Marie (7-2): Solid team often overshadowed in AACA.

15. William Tennent (10-0): Needs more wins vs. top competition.

16. Great Valley (9-0): Hasn’t played a great schedule.

17. Norristown (6-2): Nice win over CR-North.

18. Council Rock-North (5-3): Relatively inexperienced Indians team upset by Norristown at home.

19. Conwell-Egan (7-3): Carmen Tyson-Thomas is one of the top players in the area.

20. Perkiomen Valley (8-3): Played tough vs. Spring-Ford and Methacton.
